Happy Memorial Day!

We went to a parade in Middlebury on Memorial Day... lots of bands and fire trucks.
Then after that Harper had a chance to play with some of her cousins. They made up a group of 5 little girls and they were crazy and fun, hard to take pictures of, but fun! (We missed getting a picture of Sarah because she was napping, but she is cute as a button!)
It was a good day.

Oh Dear

This is what Harper calls 'going shoe shopping'. I am not sure why. I am pretty sure I have never been shoe shopping in a pirate hat... (But I am not saying anything about the purple pajamas. Heh heh.)
This girl needs help.
I think it calls for a REAL shoe shopping trip. Sorry Dan, we need to for the sake of our girl.

Arrgh!

Another Round Of Random

I have been very bad at updating the blog. Sorry... so to make up for it here are some pictures taken from the past month.
We haven't had a lot going on, but Harper has been playing and helping us outside in the cool weather.
She always enjoys playing with bubbles, except the other day she told me that the Alien Boy was going to come and pop all the bubbles. I don't really know what that means. It could be prophecy or a metaphor, but it is lost on me.

Then we went to "Kids Day" in Burlington last Saturday. That was pretty fun and it was a little warmer at least while the sun was out. Harper had a good time until we tried to take too many pictures of her. Damn paparazzi won't quit.
She also met Chewbacca and a Jawa (I actually had to look up Jawa on 'Wookieepedia' since I wasn't sure that it was. Dan had told me at the time, but I couldn't remember.) Jawas were typically short humanoid natives of Tatooine.

"I can't abide those Jawas! Disgusting creatures!"
-C3PO
Harper had no fear, she shook hands with Chewie and saw Storm Troopers. She called them Knights, but we didn't get pictures of them because Kid's Day security was in the process of disarming them. (Don't tell Chewie and the Jawa because I think they were next in line to become weaponless.)

A CT Weekend

We traveled to Connecticut this weekend to visit Nai Nai and Poppy and to have a birthday party for Oma, Mayson's grandmother. We had a great time and the weather turned out great for marching around the yard and a little 'bounce house' fun!

Playgrounds

It is starting to warm up outside and for Harper that means playgrounds. Here she is at a playground wearing her sunglasses.
We affectionately refer to these as her 'Willy Wonkas'.

Willy Wonka: Everything in this room is eatable. Even I'm eatable, but that is called canibalism, my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies.

Looking My Best

This outfit is what Harper considers, "Looking my best." I am not convinced...
looking like an eccentric cat lady may be a better term.

*Harper has been fond of playing in our guest room lately, but she calls it 'Poppy's room'. Nai Nai's room always happens to be wherever we are vacationing. :) Hmmmm.

Happy April Fool's Day!

Well, we haven't had a new picture on this blog since March 10th. That is far too long.
Perhaps we have been away for a while...
Perhaps somewhere warm, with sand and sun...
Perhaps we were on an adventure on an island with blue water and cool drinks...
Or perhaps it was all a dream... and a little photoshop.
Who knows?
Either way, I want to go back!
