Higher Education

The other day we were driving into town and I told Mommy we were now in Middlebury. She was surprised I knew that and then said that we were actually at Middlebury College, a place where people go to learn.

I told her I wanted to go there to learn to be a kangaroo.

But I don't think Middlebury has a good Kangaroo program. Anyone know of a school that does?

My Weekend and Some Other Stuff

I had a pretty great weekend in Connecticut! I went to see Nai Nai and Poppy, and Uncle Kevin, Aunt Karen and my cousin Mayson were there too.
Mommy and Daddy forgot their camera so these pictures are courtesy of Nai Nai.
Here I am eating breakfast with Mayson.

Here I am driving a boat with Daddy. I also went swimming in the lake and I liked it!

We did do a lot of fun things that weekend. I can't believe Mommy and Daddy forgot their camera. Oh well, they are getting pretty old.

Here are a few other random pictures since Mommy and Daddy didn't take ANY pictures while we were in Connecticut. Grrrr.

This is me in the bathtub. I am wearing goggles.

I like the goggles, I think they make me look... um, spiffy!?

Here I am doing what I call the "Handsome Dance" only I know why it is called the Handsome Dance. Apparently I am keeping its origin secret.

Happy Father's Day

I had a great weekend with my dad. He always plays with me and swims with me and I love the weekends because he is always home and doesn't have to go to work! I always ask if it is Saturday when I wake up just to see if it is the weekend yet.

Translation of Harper Speak: I can't go. Mom. I can't. Daddy, I want to see you, Daddy, because of some bugs.

Translation of Harper Speak: Thanks, Mom. I want to get out, I want to get out. I don't need my band-aid... to go swimming. I don't need my band-aid. I don't need my band-aid to go swimming!

Note: I am wearing a Stearns Puddle Jumper Safety Floatation device. Although real life swimming skills are important to have, this allows me to play and feel comfortable in the water until I can master those swimming skills. At first I didn't like it, but now I love it!

Happy Father's day to Grandpa Lew, Poppy, and to all other Daddys out there.

And to mine... Happy Father's Day, Daddy! I love so much and I am glad you are my dad.

Art by Patrick Dougherty

Middlebury College has a cool exhibit by Steven Dougherty. It is called "So Inclined." I like to walk through it, but I refer to it as the "Stick Houses".

Hello, It's June Now

These were taken a few days ago.

The water was SO cold!

But I LOVED it!

I couldn't wait for my mom to put a bathing suit on me, I had to get in right away. Then when I was done I asked her to wrap me in a 'racoon', that really means a warm fuzzy towel cocoon.
