It's That Time of Year Again!

I am sure you all have eagerly been anticipating our
annual Dominick the Donkey Christmas card
out-take video.
(Well at least Nai Nai and Popo... hee hee!)
It is complete and the song will get stuck in your head like always.
My apologies in advance. Heh.
For those who have never seen one before, it is compilation of our many, many not-so-great pictures that are taken to try and get a Christmas card photo. I am serious when I say not-so-great, but some are pretty funny and it's a shame to see them go to waste. We are all about recycling. :)
If you are interested in witnessing the cringe worthy spectacle, please click here: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
(you have been warned.)

Handy Harper

Harper loves fixing things. Here she is fixing our computer chair. The unfortunate part is that she demands 'ten-hundred' dollars an hour.

I should have bought a new computer chair...

Holy Balls!

Our friends in Utah sent Harper this ENORMOUS ball! It's called a Giga Ball and it is awesome!

Thanks, Garth, Steph, Amanda, Chris, and Heather!

They sure know we love big balls. Heh, heh.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving in Connecticut with Nai Nai and Poppy, Karen and Kevin, Keith and Caryn, and of course, Harper's cool cousin, Mayson.
There was delicious food, a lot of fun...
And I got in trouble for not posting a lot on this blog.
Whoops! (I will try harder.)

I don't think this Cosmo belonged to the girls...
Ok, maybe it did. (Just kidding!)

Oma (Mayson's grandmother) and Nai Nai had a lot of fun projects for Mayson and Harper to create. Harper has a paper chain on a Christmas tree in her room that was made over Thanksgiving. I'll get a picture of that later.
(Hey, give me a break! I'm taking baby steps. Plus lately it has been impossible to take a picture of Harper when she does not look like a Ninja. This year our Christmas cards will be wishing you all a Very Ninja Christmas.)

Harper had such a great time and said she wanted to stay there forever.
Dan and I gave her a hug and said, "Ok, see you next year!"
(Just kidding again!) Ha!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Awwww! Like Peanut Butter and Jelly

Harper and Emeili were born one day apart. The other day Harper received a package in the mail from Emeili that had the cutest little bird and a necklace. The bird, Harper promptly named Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and there has been hardly a moment when Chicka hasn't been firmly clutched in Harper's paw. (I should try to get a better picture of Chicka!)

The necklace is SO sweet. It is a piece of bread with jelly on it. Emeili (Harper's twin from China) has the peanut butter.

They are truly Peanut Butter and Jelly.

If you are curious about Chicka, please visit Roses and Rhubarbs, a party planning blog like no other. You can also find Roses and Rhubarbs at Etsy.com!

4 Years Old

Last week Harper had her 4 year old wellness exam. It turns out that Harper is a very healthy girl.
She had an H1N1 Flumist earlier, but during this doctor's visit had her seasonal flu shot and her Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis vaccination. She handled these shots like a pro and was very proud of the stickers she received after.
Harper is now 38 inches tall and weighs 29 1/2 pounds.

She may be small in stature, but she is BIG in voice!

Happy Halloween!

We carved pumpkins to night in great anticipation for Halloween tomorrow!
There is all kinds of spookiness happening around here.
Happy Almost Halloween!

Soccer Player

Remember when Harper couldn't, walk, crawl, run, and she would scoot around on her bottom?
Not anymore.
Turns out she is pretty darn good at soccer.
This is a good thing.
Perhaps there may be a college scholarship in her future.
It also may be her only chance at a scholarship if she keeps saying things like...
"Pillow means chocolate milk in Spanish."
Aww Sweetie, just keep kicking and let's hope the 2024 Olympics isn't in a Spanish speaking country..

Happy Birthday, Emeili!

Today is Emeili's birthday!

Happy Birthday, Em! We hope you have a spectacular day!

Get ready now because someday 'Harper Filibuster' and 'Emeili The Littlest Mayor' will be taking over!

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Mommy's Little Piggy

It was during the cake that Harper informed us that she was going to eat like a pig. It was very much reminiscent of Ralphie's little brother in A Christmas Story.
When asked where she learned to eat like a pig?

Her response... "I learned it from Mommy."
(sigh)
