So on Saturday we went to (watch) the Penguin Plunge on Lake Champlain. Basically the Penguin Plunge takes place during the Burlington Winter Festival and is a fund raiser for the Special Olympics, so people pay money to make other people go jump in a lake. In winter. With the ice. And the wind. And the frigid water.
The temperature was actually considered warm yesterday, being just over the freezing mark, but the wind was brutal. I don't know exactly what the wind chill was, but boy was it cold. Not just cold, it was COLD. So kudos to the hundreds of Penguin Plungers out there (close to 700!). Job well done.
And Harper got to meet more strangers in costumes.

Well done. It did look cold. Better you than me. I am glad Harper changed her mind about going in. Love Popo
