Sunflowers!

Here are some pictures taken a few weeks ago.
I grew some pretty cool sunflowers this year with the seeds Nai Nai gave me.
They were so big I decided to sing a very loud song in honor of them.

Ah, that felt good!

There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow

Hello, this is me singing a song. I sing this song all the time unless someone is watching me. So for Mommy to be able to record this, is a rare treat. I may have been emboldened by the orange poffee-skull (popsicle) I had earlier. You can see some traces of that orange poffee-skull on my lips and cheek. It really was a delicious poffee-skull.

Oh yeah, sometimes I skip parts of the song. I do that to keep it interesting.

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,

Shining at the end of every day.

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,

And tomorrow's just a dream away.

Man has a dream and that's the start.

He follows his dream with mind and heart,

And when it becomes a reality,

It's a dream come true for you and me.

So there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,

Shining at the end of every day.

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,

Just a dream away.

Happy Anniversary

Hello! This is Janet (Mommy) and I have managed to get Harper's sticky little paws away from the computer and her chat rooms and online gambling (ha ha) long enough to wish Dan a Happy Anniversary. We were married ten years ago today. I also think that this month makes it 18 years since we first met. We have now known each other longer than we haven't.

So Dan, this is my gift to you. (Remember you said no gifts because we were saving money, just wanted to remind you... unless of course you have a gift for me and in that case let me get my keys, I will be back in 35 minutes. Kidding!) You are the chips to my salsa, the cheese to my macaroni, and the gravy on my fries (remember walking down to Nector's on the weekends freshman year?) I am hungry now. Anyway, I can't imagine my life without you. Neither of us are sappy, nor are we overly sentimental, but I picture our life as perhaps a romantic comedy. Well, the comedy at least.

I love you, Dan.

Click here for a little retrospective look into our relationship. Happy Anniversary!

*Just a quick note to let you all know that yes, we take too many pictures, yes our hair is scary at times, and yes, as embarrassing as it may be, I wouldn't change it for the world. xxoo

We Went To The Fair

I had a great time at the fair, I didn't get to eat all that I wanted to because Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let me even though I continually asked for something because I was 'so hongry.' I still had fun and I got to ride on the carousel, too.

Back From Vacation

I am back from my vacation with Nai Nai, Poppy, Mommy and Daddy. We had great weather, we stayed in a great house and the beach was the best beach I have ever seen.

Playground Time

We took a break from the ocean today and decided to go to the playground and the boardwalk for a stroll. It was a nice time and since it may rain later today, seemed like a good idea for the morning.

Beach Baby!

I went to the beach yesterday and today with Nai Nai, Poppy, Mommy and Daddy. It was great! The sun was warm, the water was refreshing and the sand was stuck in all the right places.

I took my tube out to the water and did a little swimming.

Then we went out to have dinner and ice cream and returned to the beach for a sunset stroll even though the sun seemed to disappear rather quickly. Here is Nai Nai and Poppy standing in front of the ocean with 'helmet crabs'.

Here I am making my mark in the sand. I also built a turtle out of sand, but he swam back to the ocean when the tide came in.

Hey, I'm At The Beach!

It was mostly a travel day today, but I am here at the beach looking around. I am excited to see all those 'helmet crabs' (hermit crabs). I will let you know what the ocean feel like later when Daddy and Mommy let me wear my bathing suit!

See you later!

Is The Rain Over?

Boy, have we had a lot of rain. So far since the beginning of July we have had just under 10 inches. It has been very soggy.

The last few days have been drier so I think may gills have finally disappeared, but is seems as if the moon is out... heh heh.

In between the raindrops, I had a chance to visit with some of my good friends. Here is S. She is a climber. She will climb anything. Trust.

Here is M. I was going to say he was a swinger, but that didn't sound right. He can, however, solve a Rubik's cube using only his mouth.

Here is me with V. She has taught me the finer points of puddle jumping. She is truly an expert.

(My apologies for the borrowed photos, Mommy forgot her camera and well, sort of, pilfered these from others... to those who took the pictures, thanks!)

Well, that is the news for now, but there should be more to come (if we have an internet connection)... we are going to the beach!

New Blog Look

I am trying out a new look for my blog.
We have had a lot of rain for a while now. I will post some new pictures once my gills disappear.
Love, Harper

A Great Idea

Ok, so I told Mommy and Daddy that I had a great idea. I told them that maybe when I get big maybe I can have a hand come out the front of my shirt to hold the paper while I am coloring. Then I can color with both of my other hands!
These pictures have nothing to do with coloring, but it is me playing golf.
I was pretty good, at least for the first two holes... then the water elements became much more interesting.
