I Like Oranges

Greetings one and all! I wanted to let you know that yesterday the social worker came to visit for something called a post-placement. My mom dressed me cute and combed my hair to make me look extra happy. So I thought it would be really funny to have this really long crying spell. Boy, I cried so hard that Mommy and Daddy were squirming in their seats! They blamed it on teething so I played along. Mommy finally gave me a frozen waffle to see if that would stop me from crying and it did. I also got to eat that whole frozen waffle. I am a really good actress. The social worker didn’t seemed bothered by it so Mommy and Daddy felt better, but then I pretended that I was shy and I turned my face away when the social worker looked at me. I am such a stinker. I guess everything was fine though because the social worker said I looked like I was in excellent health and that I was very attached to Mommy and Daddy.
All that acting yesterday made me really hungry though. I ate so much Daddy laughed and said, “I just don’t know how she is eating all that.” This is what I ate yesterday: a bowl of Cheerios, an orange, some watermelon, a handful of Cheerios, that frozen waffle Mommy gave me, some coffee cake from Mommy’s plate while she was talking, a bowl of squash, some freeze dried corn, a piece of whole wheat toast, vanilla custard, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, and part of a hamburger. After that I had a bath and was ready to go to bed. It was probably good that I went to bed because I had to make sure to wake up extra early today just to keep Mommy and Daddy on their toes.

Hey Everybody! It's Me Again!

Wow, who knew this blogging stuff could be so cool. I can't believe Mommy didn't teach me how to do this sooner.

Today I woke up with a spectacular case of bed head. I think it is quite charming.

Here is me showing Daddy what I am eating for breakfast.

Here is me offering Daddy a drink of water.

Here is me thinking twice about offering Daddy a drink because he always eats my food.

Here is me thinking Mommy really looks like she needs a drink.

My Mommy's Brains Are Mush

Hi. This is Harper. I have had to take over posting to this blog lately. If I left it up to my Mommy nothing new would ever show up. She keeps saying things like her brains have turned to mush and has the words to Pineapple Princess stuck in her head all day long. I don't see anything wrong with that though because it is my favorite song. I let Mommy listen to it over and over again. Sometimes she smiles like she is in pain, but she really likes it. Really. Anyway, I will be posting a couple of items for you to look at since my Mommy is a slacker.

This is me hanging with Grandpa Lew

This is me looking at babies. I love them.

This is me giving my caterpillar chair a snuggle. I love my chair as much as I love babies and the Pineapple Princess song.

Daddy's Toys

This is me trying to play with Daddy's toys.

This is me when my Daddy is telling me, "No touch."

This is me when I am trying to look cute
so I can play with them anyway.

Thanks Jenny!

Aunt Jenny gave me these cool new rain boots, and a raincoat! I love them. They are a little big for me right now, but I will be able to wear them for a very long time. She also gave me an umbrella that matches, but I can't hold on to that and people's fingers right now. Jenny also gave me some pretty rad Converse sneakers in a very stylish chocolate color. I would show you a picture of them too, but my mommy hasn't taken a picture of them yet. I really should get after my mommy about things like that.

Finally!

Well, Harper walked for the very first time today. We managed to catch it on video and now you can see it too! There has been no editing to the video so it may be a bit boring in places and Harper pretty much looks like an intoxicated sailor, but these were her actual first unassisted steps. Ever. Mommy and Daddy are pretty proud and truthfully a bit relieved. We thought we were going to have to send her to Walking Camp this summer.

Finally!
Because she is really starting to get heavy.

Daddy's Little Girl

Usually Harper likes to sit on her caterpillar chair and snuggle a stuffed animal. Yesterday she wanted to sit with a financial calculator...

Good Morning Starshine

*Thanks to Andy and Kristin, they found "Jumpcut" first and we thought we would give it at try.

Building Blocks

Building Blocks ...the movie.

The picture below has nothing to do with the movie, but I think Harper's career may be in the furniture moving business.

Wahoo! Part 2

Blogger Can Bite Me

I am having difficulties with Blogger so please be patient as I try to get these #*$&(@ pictures to load.

Wahoo!

We played in the snow today. Harper had her mitten sticks ready to go.

*Just in case you didn't notice, I changed our blog template. A fresh new look. The groundhog made me do it.
